As the Director of Arts Programming, I created several arts-based projects in collaboration with other professional artists, mental health professionals, and youth.

Fidgety Fairy Tales - The Mental Health Musicals
role: playwright/director/choreographer/costume and set designer
Fidgety Fairy Tales re-imagine familiar stories to help kids and grown ups have important conversations about mental health. From 2008 - 2023, we adapted 36 fairy tales to address a wide range of topics around mental health and neurodivergence.
Star Power and Friends
role: playwright/illustrations/puppeteer/video creation
In collaboration with a group of Somali Certified Family Peer Specialists and a cast of Somali teens, we created a series of five short videos featuring a team of Somali superheroes who celebrate their strengths.
